Just to mention that i have tried tweaking "Zoom to Cursor" and "Zoom to Unit Tolerance" to Disabled and 0 and it has not helped at all, this issue is always present.
I have a severe annoyance with this feature, especially as TEC due to their numerous trade ships & garrisons, where as i am looking over my empire (zooming in/out with mouse scroll) my camera will lock onto & start following a random ship that happens to be under my mouse cursor & is usually jumping along the phase lanes.
This follow ship feature locks the camera into following this random ship and refuses to stop following until i zoom in/out again - just moving the camera left/right/up/down is not a valid command to break the "camera follows the ship" feature.
Personally i find this entire feature to be completely pointless and i would love to have an option (even in a config file somewhere) to just entirely disable it.
If i want to follow a ship with my camera (like in the amazing battles) i do it with a double click or in some other way (perhaps there is a keybind).
But this "mouse scroll auto triggers follow camera onto whatever ship is beneath my cursor" feature is extremely annoying, since 10 times out of 10 i just want to zoom in/out across my Empire to better see what is going on - NOT follow a random trade ship or scout ship as its slowly phase jumping.
And no UI option currently in the game disables it - i tried literally everything that could be Disabled and set to Zero.
I still need to have the mouse-scroll zoom the camera onto my mouse cursor location - just please add an option for No mouse wheel scroll auto camera following a ship lock-on feature.
TL;DR: Developers please let us have an option that truly completely disables the "mouse-wheel scroll makes camera auto follow a ship under cursor" feature.
Thank you.
